AS*CUP

Hello guys , these days , I feel that OA is always the same ( no competition anymore I mean ) , that's why I ( maybe that leaders and co-leaders agree ) want to organize an AS Cup as everyone like Aftershock ; so i want to ask to GoD , GaNja , *SoS* , and all the other clan who wants !! feel free to comment

It really depends how you wanna organize it, but a full cup like OAC, or OACL with the full clans won't work out atm i'm afraid as you won't find really enough clans. If you wanna go for some cups, the solution might be some " groups cup ", like some 3vs3 or 4vs4 cup, but without the need of clans only, so you could get more than one team in each clan and you could also get free players in it, wich might be doable then i guess.

Good idea ! What do you think leaders?? And maybe speak about it on AS forum?

so maybe ctf an ca 4vs4 with clans + teams created with free/clan players?

if it's ok we can create the event.. and we should start asking to the other clans..to see if they wanna partecipate!

If there's an easy way to sign up for individuals, it might help teams struggling to assemble four players. That way one could reel in the AS CA regulars who currently don't have a team.

One problem comes in finding enough players involved enough to play regulary some matches. So i don't think that much individual players will join it anyway, but teams players might join, and some 3vs3 might easily able some teams to get at least 2 " groups " to play.

I just checked your profile and your rights on AS forum ( ye i'm moderator ^^ ) and you can post ofc, my guess is that you didn't login in the forum, you should note that there are different login parts for both forum and website on AS.

Yooo impact that sounds cool BUT!! :

- rules for the cup ?
- which mode - ffa/ca/tdm/ctf?
- we still haven't finished the chS/duel CHAMPIONSHIP.

Some kind of Swiss tournament might work, where not everyone has to play everyone else, but rather just a set number of matches. If we add spontaneously assembled teams, they might quickly disband again, so if it's just a few friendly games in rapid succession (not spread out over weeks), we have a higher chance of completing the cup.

Game mode wise I'd have some hilarious ideas, but I'd go with whatever is most popular and gets full teams in that don't have the 'so-and-so doesn't want to play any more' problem. Since it'd be open anyway, I'd specifically allow/encourage clan mixing. Especially helps those who are just one player short.

Oh, and one of the ideas was (this is not by any means a serious suggestion) that we'd do a triathlon of CA, CTF, and TDM. This would kind of nail it down to 4v4 and a small map pool so no one cries foul and everyone gets to familiarise themselves with all the maps (mostly TDM).
